     Agnes Fleming was born in 1535 at Biggar, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Malcolm Fleming, 3rd Lord Fleming and Janet Stewart.1 She married William Livingston, 6th Lord Livingston, son of Alexander Livingston, 5th Lord Livingston and Lady Agnes Douglas, circa 1553. She died on 18 October 1597.2
     From circa 1553, her married name became Livingston.

     Alexander Cochrane was the son of John Blair of that Ilk and Grizel Sempill.2 A contract for the marriage of Alexander Cochrane and Elizabeth Cochrane was signed on 24 July 1593.2 He died circa July 1641.2
     He was given the name of Alexander Blair at birth.3 On 7 February 1601 the lands of Cochrane were settled on him.2 Before 30 July 1618 he acquired the lands of Auchencreugh, Ayrshire.2 Before 23 April 1623 he acquired the Barony of Cowdown, Neilstone, Renfrewshire.2

     William Cochrane of that Ilk was the son of John Cochrane of that Ilk and Elizabeth Sempill.2 He married Elizabeth Montgomerie, daughter of Robert Montgomerie of Skelmorlie, circa 1579.2
     He lived at Cochrane, Renfrewshire, ScotlandG.1 On 30 November 1556 he had a charter of the lands of Cochrane.2 He added the Tower to his manor (and was then called Cochrane Castle.)2
