     He was Aide-de-Camp to Lord Cornwallis at North AmericaG.1

     Catherine Pitcairn was the daughter of Major John Pitcairn and Elizabeth Dalrymple.1,2 She married, firstly, Major Hon. Charles Cochrane, son of Thomas Cochrane, 8th Earl of Dundonald and Jane Stuart.1 She married, secondly, Charles Owen Cambridge.1 She died on 24 October 1835.1
     Her married name became Cambridge.1 Her married name became Cochrane.

     Hon. Basil Cochrane was born on 22 April 1753.1 He was the son of Thomas Cochrane, 8th Earl of Dundonald and Jane Stuart.3 He married Caroline Gosling, daughter of unknown Gosling, on 13 August 1812.1 He died on 14 August 1826 at age 73.1
     He was with the Madras Civil Service.1
