Walter Whetstone was born in 1863 at Leicester, Leicestershire, England.1 He was the son of William Whetstone and Sarah Ann Hollier.1 He married Edith Caroline Beckingham, daughter of James Horace Beckingham and Alice Elizabeth Broadbridge, in 1891 at Gateshead, County Durham, England.1 He died in 1904 at Leicester, Leicestershire, England.1

George Home was the son of Alexander Home and Christian Erskine.2 He married, firstly, Isobel Home, daughter of Sir George Home, 6th of Wedderburn and Jane Haldane, in May 1608.1 He married, secondly, Helen Arnot, daughter of Sir John Arnot of Berswick, on 4 September 1610.2 He died in 1637.1
