     Rt. Hon. Sir Swinton Barclay Thomas was born on 12 January 1931 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Brigadier William Thomas.2 He married Angela Wright in 1967 at Kensington, London, England.1,3 He died on 12 August 2016 at age 85 at Italy.2
     He held the office of Lord Justice of Appeal.1 He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England.2 He was educated at Lincoln College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He was appointed Knight in 1985.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1992.2
