Sir Philip Nisbet of that Ilk was the son of George Nisbet of that Ilk and Elizabeth Cranstoun.2 He married Elizabeth Haldane, daughter of John Haldane, 7th of Gleneagles and Elizabeth Lundie, circa 11 March 1581/82.1 He died before 1630.2
He was appointed Knight in 1605.2 He held the office of Representative at Scots Parliament in 1625, for Berkwickshire.2
