     Frances Erskine was the daughter of Sir William Erskine, Bt. She married Lt.-Gen. William Wemyss, son of James Wemyss and Lady Elizabeth Gordon, on 16 September 1788.¹ She married Lt.-Gen. William Wemyss, son of James Wemyss and Lady Elizabeth Gordon, on 16 September 1788. She died on 1 February 1798. She died on 1 February 1798.¹

     Lady Emma Hay was the daughter of William Hay, 17th Earl of Erroll and Alicia Eliot.¹ She married Rear-Admiral James Erskine Wemyss of Wemyss, son of Lt.-Gen. William Wemyss and Frances Erskine, on 8 August 1826.² She died on 17 July 1841.¹
      Her married name became Wemyss.

     Millicent Anne Mary Erskine was the daughter of Hon. John Kennedy-Erskine and Lady Augusta Fitz-Clarence. She married James Hay Erskine-Wemyss, son of Rear-Admiral James Erskine Wemyss of Wemyss and Lady Emma Hay, on 17 May 1855.¹ She died on 11 February 1895.¹
      Her married name became Erskine-Wemyss.

     Lady Lillian Mary Paulet was born on 26 July 1859. She was the daughter of John Paulet, 14th Marquess of Winchester and Hon. Mary Montagu. She married Randolph Gordon Erskine-Wemyss of Wemyss, son of James Hay Erskine-Wemyss and Millicent Anne Mary Erskine, on 18 July 1884. She and Randolph Gordon Erskine-Wemyss of Wemyss were divorced in 1898. She died on 11 November 1952 at age 93.¹
      Her married name became Erskine-Wemyss.

     Lady Eva Cecilia Margaret Wellesley was the daughter of William Henry Wellesley, 2nd Earl Cowley and Emily Gwendoline Williams.¹ She married Randolph Gordon Erskine-Wemyss of Wemyss, son of James Hay Erskine-Wemyss and Millicent Anne Mary Erskine, on 23 November 1898.¹ She died on 4 March 1948.²
      Her married name became Erskine-Wemyss.

     Lady Isabella Margaret Hay was born on 22 February 1800 at Cruden, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of William Hay, 17th Earl of Erroll and Alicia Eliot.¹ She married Lt.-Gen. William Wemyss, son of Lt.-Gen. William Wemyss and Frances Erskine, on 14 April 1820.¹ She died on 28 July 1868 at age 68.¹

     Francis Wemyss Charteris, Lord Elcho was born on 31 January 1749. He was the son of Francis Charteris, 7th Earl of Wemyss and Lady Catherine Gordon. He married Susan Tracy-Keck, daughter of Anthony Tracy-Keck and Lady Susan Hamilton, on 18 July 1771. He died on 20 January 1808 at age 58.

     Francis Charteris, 8th Earl of Wemyss was born on 15 April 1772. He was the son of Francis Wemyss Charteris, Lord Elcho and Susan Tracy-Keck. He married Margaret Campbell, daughter of Walter Campbell, 9th of Skipness and 3rd of Shawfield and Eleanora Kerr, on 31 May 1794.¹ He died on 28 June 1853 at age 81.
     He gained the title of 8th Earl of Wemyss.

     Francis Wemyss-Charteris, 9th Earl of Wemyss was born on 14 August 1796. He was the son of Francis Charteris, 8th Earl of Wemyss and Margaret Campbell. He married Lady Louisa Bingham, daughter of Richard Bingham, 2nd Earl of Lucan and Lady Elizabeth Belasyse, on 22 August 1817 at Paris, France.¹ He died on 1 January 1883 at age 86.
     He gained the title of 9th Earl of Wemyss.

     Lady Catherine Gordon was born at Scotland.² She was the daughter of Alexander Gordon, 2nd Duke of Gordon and Lady Henrietta Mordaunt.¹ She married Francis Charteris, 7th Earl of Wemyss, son of James Wemyss, 5th Earl of Wemyss and Janet Charteris, on 12 September 1745.¹ She died on 21 January 1786 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.²
      From 12 September 1745, her married name became Charteris.¹
