Henrietta Charlotte Elizabeth Charteris was born on 3 February 1773. She was the daughter of Francis Wemyss Charteris, Lord Elcho and Susan Tracy-Keck. She married George Harry Grey, 6th Earl of Stamford, son of George Harry Grey, 5th Earl of Stamford and Lady Henrietta Cavendish-Bentinck, on 23 December 1797. She died on 30 January 1838 at age 64.

Lady Augusta Charteris was the daughter of Francis Wemyss Charteris, Lord Elcho and Susan Tracy-Keck.2 She married Warner William Westenra, 1st/2nd Baron Rossmere of Monaghan, son of Henry Westenra and Harriet Murray, on 3 June 1819 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England.2 She died on 28 July 1840 at Wilton House, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, without issue.2 Her will was probated in August 1841.3
In 1809 she was granted the precedence of an Earl's daughter.2 Her married name became Westenra. As a result of her marriage, Lady Augusta Charteris was styled as Baroness Rossmore of Monaghan on 23 December 1824.
