Rt. Hon. Sir Richard Levinge, 1st Bt. was born on 2 May 1656.2 He was the son of Richard Levinge and Anne Parker.3 He married Mary Johnson, daughter of Robert Johnson and Margaret Dixon.4 He married Mary Corbyn in 1680.2 He died on 13 July 1724 at age 68.2
He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).1 He held the office of Speaker of the House of Commons.1 He lived Parwich.2 He was Member of Parliament (M.P.) Chester and Derby 1710–11, Recorder Chester 1686–87 and Derby in 1690.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Chester between 1690 and 1695.1 In 1692 Speaker Irish H of C , Slr-Gen Ireland 1692 and 1704–09, Attorney-Gen 1711–14, Ch Justice Common Pleas 1720–24.2 He was created 1st Baronet Levinge [Ireland] on 26 October 1704.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Derby from 1710 to 1711.1 He held the office of Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas [Ireland] between 1720 and 1724.2 He was ), dau of Honour Robert Johnson, Baron Exchequer Ireland, on 2 December 1756.2
