John Stratford Roland Beecham was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He was educated at Queen's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Beecham, of Ewanville, Huyston, co. Lancaster [U.K., 1914] in 1982, although he does not use this title.1 He lived at Shalom, Station Road, Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, England.1

Sir Joseph Beecham, 1st Bt. was born on 8 June 1848.1 He was the son of Thomas Beecham and Mary Evans.1 He married Josephine Burnett, daughter of William Burnett, on 12 April 1873.1 He died on 23 October 1916 at age 68.1
