     John Percy Ernest Walker was born on 8 September 1891.1 He was the son of Captain Sir James Heron Walker, 3rd Bt. and Violet Maud Cecil Ives.2 He married Bridget Fleetwood Fuller, daughter of Sir John Michael Fleetwood Fuller, 1st Bt. and Norah Jacintha Phipps, on 15 November 1927.2 He died on 13 December 1951 at age 60.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1914 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Scots Guards (SR.)1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1
