     Andrew Lauder was the son of William Lauder and Elizabeth Bellenden.2 He married, firstly, Janet Ramsay, daughter of David Ramsay of Hillhead.1 He married, secondly, Isobel Borthwick, daughter of William Borthwick of Johnstonburn and Barbara Lawson, on 28 July 1618.3 He married, thirdly, Margaret Cockburn on 28 November 1641.3 He died in June 1658 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.3
     He was a merchant at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1

     Janet Ramsay was the daughter of David Ramsay of Hillhead.2 She married Andrew Lauder, son of William Lauder and Elizabeth Bellenden.1 She died in April 1617.3

Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall, 1st Bt.1

     Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall, 1st Bt. was baptised on 17 August 1595 at Lasswade, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of Andrew Lauder and Janet Ramsay.3 He married, firstly, Margaret Spiers on 20 November 1639.1 He married, secondly, Isabel Ellis, daughter of Alexander Ellis of Mortonhall, on 17 July 1645 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2 He married, thirdly, Margaret Ramsay, daughter of George Ramsay, on 15 February 1670.1 He died in 1692.1
     He was a merchant and burgess at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He held the office of Baillie of Edinburgh between 1657 and 1661.1 He purchased the Newington estate, near Edinburgh, and the Woodhead, Templehall and other estates in Counties Edinburgh and Haddington (which were erected in his favour into the Barony of Fountainhall in 1681) in 1672.1 He was created 1st Baronet Lauder, of Fountainhall, co. Haddington [Nova Scotia] on 25 January 1690, with remainder to the heirs male of his body and his heirs male ‘successive.1'

     Margaret Spiers married Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall, 1st Bt., son of Andrew Lauder and Janet Ramsay, on 20 November 1639.1 She died in 1643.1
     She was also known as Marion.1 From 20 November 1639, her married name became Lauder.1

     Isabel Ellis is the daughter of Alexander Ellis of Mortonhall.1 She married Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall, 1st Bt., son of Andrew Lauder and Janet Ramsay, on 17 July 1645 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2
     From 17 July 1645, her married name became Lauder.1

     Sir Andrew Ramsay, Lord Abbotshall was born circa 1619.2 He was the son of Reverend Andrew Ramsay.2 He married Janet Craw.2 He died on 17 January 1688.2
     He held the office of Lord Provost of Edinburgh between 1654 and 1657.1,2 He held the office of Lord Provost of Edinburgh between 1662 and 1673.2 He was created 1st Baronet Ramsay, of Abbotshall, co. Fife [Nova Scotia] on 23 June 1669.3 He held the office of Lord of Session between 1671 and 1673.1,2 He was styled as Lord Abbotshall [Scottish Law Lord] on 23 November 1671.2

     Janet Ramsay was born on 26 September 1652.2 She was the daughter of Sir Andrew Ramsay, Lord Abbotshall and Janet Craw.3,4 She married Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall, 1st Bt. and Isabel Ellis, on 21 January 1669.1 She died on 27 February 1686 at age 33.1,2
     From 21 January 1669, her married name became Lauder.

     Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall, 3rd Bt. was born on 3 December 1669 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2,3 He was the son of Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall, 2nd Bt. and Janet Ramsay.4 He was baptised on 5 December 1669.1 He married Margaret Seton, daughter of Sir Alexander Seton of Pitmedden, 1st Bt. and Margaret Lauder, on 10 August 1696 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2 He died in February 1728 at age 58 at Fountainhall, East Lothian, Scotland.1,3
     He held the office of Burgess of Aberdeen in 1701.3 He held the office of Burgess of Edinburgh in 1702.3 He held the office of Burgess of North Berwick in 1702.3 He held the office of Burgess of Elgin in 1714.3 He held the office of Burgess of Forres in 1715.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Lauder, of Fountainhall, co. Haddington [N.S., 1690] on 20 September 1722.1

     Sir Alexander Seton of Pitmedden, 1st Bt. was born circa 1639.2 He was the son of John Seton, 3rd of Pitmedden and Elizabeth Johnston.3 He married Margaret Lauder, daughter of William Lauder and Katherine Hunter, on 11 March 1669.3,2 He died on 29 May 1719.3,2
     He was appointed Knight in 1664.3 He held the office of Lord of Session in 1677.3 He was styled as Lord Pitmedden [Scottish Law Lord] in 1677.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Aberdeenshire from 1681 to 1682.3 He was created 1st Baronet Seton, of Pitmedden, co.
