     Major John Campbell Heriot-Maitland was born on 21 January 1874.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir James Makgill Heriot-Maitland and Frances Lorne Mary Campbell.2 He died on 28 October 1934 at age 60.1
     Major John Campbell Heriot-Maitland fought in the Boer War.1 He gained the rank of Captain and Brevet Major in the service of the Scots Guards.1

     Jessie Stewart Hutchings was the daughter of Captain George Hutchings.1 She married, firstly, Maj.-Gen. Sir James Makgill Heriot-Maitland, son of James Maitland-Heriot and Margaret Dalgleish, on 4 October 1882.1 She married, secondly, Prince unknown of Formosa on 14 December 1903.1 She died in 1905.1
     From 4 October 1882, her married name became Heriot-Maitland. From 14 December 1903, her married name became Formosa.1

     Captain Henry King gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1
