     Herbert Godsal was the son of Philip William Godsal.2 He married Helen Margaret Scrymgeour-Wedderburn, daughter of Henry Scrymgeour-Wedderburn of Wedderburn and Birkhill and Juliana Braddell, on 16 October 1901.1 He died on 22 September 1932.1

     Mary Turner Scrymgeour-Wedderburn was the daughter of Henry Scrymgeour-Wedderburn of Wedderburn and Birkhill and Juliana Braddell.2 She married Brig.-Gen. James Dalgleish Heriot-Maitland, son of Maj.-Gen. Sir James Makgill Heriot-Maitland and Frances Lorne Mary Campbell, on 3 August 1903.1 She died on 11 March 1937.2
     From 3 August 1903, her married name became Heriot-Maitland.

Maj.-Gen. Sir James Makgill Heriot-Maitland1

     Maj.-Gen. Sir James Makgill Heriot-Maitland was born on 14 June 1837.2 He was the son of James Maitland-Heriot and Margaret Dalgleish.2 He married, firstly, Frances Lorne Mary Campbell, daughter of General Sir John Campbell, on 28 November 1872.2 He married, secondly, Jessie Stewart Hutchings, daughter of Captain George Hutchings, on 4 October 1882.2 He died on 26 August 1902 at age 65.2
     He was given the name of James Makgill Maitland-Heriot at birth.2 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Engineers.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)2

Brig.-Gen. James Dalgleish Heriot-Maitland1

     Brig.-Gen. James Dalgleish Heriot-Maitland was born on 21 January 1874.2 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir James Makgill Heriot-Maitland and Frances Lorne Mary Campbell.2 He married Mary Turner Scrymgeour-Wedderburn, daughter of Henry Scrymgeour-Wedderburn of Wedderburn and Birkhill and Juliana Braddell, on 3 August 1903.1 He died on 18 January 1958 at age 83.2
     He was also known as James Dalgleish Maitland.2 He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Boer War, where he was mentioned in despatches and was severely wounded.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1916.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Perthshire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire.2 He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1922.2
