Diane Marguerite and Franz Joseph were remarried in a religious ceremony on 16 April 1955 at Krauchenweis, Stuttgart, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.

He married Marie Luise Anne Prinzessin von Preußen, daughter of Karl Prinz von Preußen and Marie Luise Alexandrine Prinzessin von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach, on 26 May 1853 at Berlin-Charlottenburg, Brandenburg, Germany.2 He and Marie Luise Anne Prinzessin von Preußen were divorced on 6 March 1861.2 He was also reported to have been married on 24 June 1854 at Berlin-Charlottenburg, Brandenburg, Germany.
