She died on 21 November 1959 at age 90 at Wiesbaden, Hessen, Germany.
     Luise Prinzessin von Ardeck was also known as Luise von Hessen-Philippstahl.2 She gained the title of Prinzessin von Ardeck.1 From 2 November 1889, her married name became zur Lippe-Biesterfeld.2
