     He gained the title of Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel.¹

     Friederike Wilhelmine Herzogin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel was born on 8 April 1748.¹ She was the daughter of Karl I Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Philippine Charlotte Prinzessin von Preußen.¹ She died on 22 January 1758 at age 9.¹
     She gained the title of Herzogin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel.¹

     Friederike Sophie Charlotte Auguste Prinzessin von Württemberg-Oels was born on 1 August 1751.¹ She was the daughter of Karl Christian Erdmann Herzog von Württemberg-Oels and Marie Sophie Wilhelmine Gräfin zu Solms-Laubach.¹ She married Friedrich August Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, son of Karl I Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Philippine Charlotte Prinzessin von Preußen, on 6 September 1768.¹ She died on 4 November 1789 at age 38.¹

     Karl Christian Erdmann Herzog von Württemberg-Oels was born on 26 October 1716.³ He married Marie Sophie Wilhelmine Gräfin zu Solms-Laubach, daughter of Friedrich Ernst graf zu Solms-Laubach-Wildenfels and Friederike Charlotte zu Stolberg-Gedern, on 8 April 1741.¹ He died on 14 December 1792 at age 76 at Oels, Poland.³

     Marie Sophie Wilhelmine Gräfin zu Solms-Laubach was born on 3 April 1721 at Wetzlar, Germany.² She was the daughter of Friedrich Ernst graf zu Solms-Laubach-Wildenfels and Friederike Charlotte zu Stolberg-Gedern.² She married Karl Christian Erdmann Herzog von Württemberg-Oels on 8 April 1741.¹ She died on 25 March 1793 at age 71 at Oels, Poland.²

     Georg Wilhelm Kurfürst von Brandenburg was born in 1595.² He was the son of Johann Sigismund Kurfürst von Brandenburg and Anne von Hohenzollern.^1,2 He married Elisabeth Charlotte von der Pfalz, daughter of Friedrich IV Kurfürst von der Pfalz and Louise Juliana van Oranje-Nassau, in 1616.² He died in 1640.¹
     He succeeded as the Kurfürst von Brandenburg in 1619.²

     Wilhelm VI Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel was born in 1629.² He was the son of Wilhelm V Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel and Amalie Elisabeth Gräfin von Hanau-Münzenberg.³ He married Hedwig Sohpie Prinzessin von Brandenburg, daughter of Georg Wilhelm Kurfürst von Brandenburg and Elisabeth Charlotte von der Pfalz, in 1649.² He died in 1663.³
     Wilhelm VI Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel also went by the nick-name of Wilhelm 'the Just'.⁴ He succeeded as the Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel in 1637.¹

     Hedwig Sohpie Prinzessin von Brandenburg was born in 1623.¹ She was the daughter of Georg Wilhelm Kurfürst von Brandenburg and Elisabeth Charlotte von der Pfalz.¹ She married Wilhelm VI Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel, son of Wilhelm V Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel and Amalie Elisabeth Gräfin von Hanau-Münzenberg, in 1649.¹ She died in 1683.¹
