Edward Knight was born on 7 October 1768.3 He was the son of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh.2 He married Elizabeth Bridges, daughter of Sir Brook William Bridges, 3rd Bt. and Fanny Fowler. He died on 19 November 1852 at age 84.3
Edward Knight was baptised with the name of Edward Austen.4 On 1812 his name was legally changed to Edward Knight.4 He lived at Godmersham Park, Kent, England.1

Louisa Knight was born in 1804.1 She was the daughter of Edward Knight and Elizabeth Bridges.1 She married Major Lord George Augusta Sandys, son of Arthur Hill, 2nd Marquess of Downshire and Mary Sandys, Baroness Sandys of Ombersley, on 11 May 1847. She died on 29 July 1889.
