     He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Bridges, of Goodneston, co. Kent [G.B., 1718] on 17 September 1733.² He held the office of Receiver-General of the land Tax for Kent.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kent between November 1763 and 1774.²

     Sir Norton Joseph Knatchbull, 10th Bt. was born on 10 July 1808 at Provender, Kent, England.¹ He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Knatchbull, 9th Bt. and Annabella Christiana Honywood.¹ He married Mary Watts-Russell, daughter of Jesse Watts-Russell and Mary Watts, on 31 May 1831.¹ He died on 2 February 1868 at age 59 at 3 Chesham Place, London, England.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 20 November 1826.¹ He succeeded to the title of 10th Baronet Knatchbull, of Mersham Hatch, co. Kent [E., 1641] on 24 May 1849.¹

     Mary Watts-Russell was the daughter of Jesse Watts-Russell and Mary Watts.¹ She married Sir Norton Joseph Knatchbull, 10th Bt., son of Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Knatchbull, 9th Bt. and Annabella Christiana Honywood, on 31 May 1831.¹ She died on 3 September 1874 at Maidstone, Kent, England.¹
      From 31 May 1831, her married name became Knatchbull.¹

     Jesse Watts-Russell was born in 1786.² He married, firstly, Mary Watts, daughter of David Pike Watts. He married, secondly, Maria Ellen Barker.² He died in 1875.²
     He was given the name of Jesse Russell at birth.¹ On 23 March 1817 his name was legally changed to Jesse Watts-Russell.² He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1821.² He lived at Ilam Hall, Staffordshire, England.³ He lived at Biggin House, Northamptonshire, England.³

     Sir Edward Knatchbull, 11th Bt. was born on 26 April 1833.¹ He was the son of Sir Norton Joseph Knatchbull, 10th Bt. and Mary Watts-Russell.¹ He died on 30 May 1871 at age 38 at Mersham Hatch, Kent, England, unmarried.¹
     He was a barrister.¹ He succeeded to the title of 11th Baronet Knatchbull, of Mersham Hatch, co. Kent [E., 1641] on 2 February 1868.¹
