     Anne Stephanie Pollock was born on 27 April 1896.2 She was the daughter of Sir Adrian Donald Wilde Pollock and Hon. Mary Honorah Rhoda Gully.1,3 She married Cyril Asquith, Baron Asquith of Bishopstone, son of Herbert Henry Asquith, 1st Earl of Oxford and Asquith and Helen Kelsall Melland, on 12 February 1918.1 She died on 19 February 1964 at age 67.2
     From 12 February 1918, her married name became Asquith.2 After her marriage, Anne Stephanie Pollock was styled as Baroness Asquith of Bishopstone in April 1951.

     Sir Adrian Donald Wilde Pollock was born on 24 September 1867.2 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Frederick Richard Pollock and Adriana Nicolas.3 He married Hon. Mary Honorah Rhoda Gully, daughter of William Court Gully, 1st Viscount Selby and Elizabeth Anne Walford Selby, on 17 March 1894.3 He died on 21 August 1943 at age 75.2
     He held the office of Lieutenant of City London.2 He held the office of City Remembrancer between 1903 and 1912.2 He held the office of City Chamberlain between 1912 and 1943.2 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1921.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1938.2
