     Marianne Philpot was the daughter of Thomas Philpot.² She married Sir John Edward Harington, 8th Bt., son of Sir James Harington, 7th Bt. and Anna Ashenhurst, on 10 April 1787.¹ She died on 20 December 1824.¹
     From 10 April 1787, her married name became Harington.

     Sir James Harington, 9th Bt. was born on 30 September 1788.¹ He was the son of Sir John Edward Harington, 8th Bt. and Marianne Philpot.² He married Sophia Steer, daughter of Charles Steer, on 2 April 1817.¹ He died circa 2 January 1835.¹ He was buried on 5 January 1835.¹
     He held the office of Judge.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Harington, of Ridlington, co. Rutland [E., 1611] on 9 June 1831.¹

     Sophia Steer was the daughter of Charles Steer.² She married Sir James Harington, 9th Bt., son of Sir John Edward Harington, 8th Bt. and Marianne Philpot, on 2 April 1817.¹ She died on 21 October 1859.¹
     From 2 April 1817, her married name became Harington.

     Sir John Edward Harington, 10th Bt. was born on 22 May 1821.¹ He was the son of Sir James Harington, 9th Bt. and Sophia Steer.² He married Jane Agnes Brownrigg, daughter of John Studholme Brownrigg, on 26 October 1846.¹ He died on 9 February 1877 at age 55, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Harington, of Ridlington, co. Rutland [E., 1611] circa January 1835.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Middlesex.¹

     Alexander Cotton lived at Landwade, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹

     Jane Agnes Brownrigg was the daughter of John Studholme Brownrigg.² She married Sir John Edward Harington, 10th Bt., son of Sir James Harington, 9th Bt. and Sophia Steer, on 26 October 1846.¹ She died on 17 April 1891.¹
     From 26 October 1846, her married name became Harington.

     Edward John Harington was baptised on 25 December 1793.¹ He was the son of Sir John Edward Harington, 8th Bt. and Marianne Philpot.² He died on 10 October 1857 at age 63, unmarried.¹
     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹

     Reverend Richard Harington was born on 26 April 1800.¹ He was the son of Sir John Edward Harington, 8th Bt. and Marianne Philpot.² He married, firstly, Cecilia Smith, daughter of Reverend Samuel Smith, on 1 August 1833.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Paul, daughter of Reverend Samuel Woodfield Paul and Charlotte Dolben, on 2 July 1846.¹ He died on 13 December 1853 at age 53.¹
     He was the Rector at Old Northampton, England^G.¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He was the Principal at Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Reverend Samuel Smith was the Dean at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹
