     William Henry Chetwynd was born on 17 September 1811.1 He was the son of Sir George Chetwynd, 2nd Bt. and Hannah Maria Sparrow.2 He married Blanche Chetwynd-Talbot, daughter of Rev. Hon. Arthur Chetwynd-Talbot and Harriet Elizabeth Frances Hervey-Aston, on 15 August 1854 at St. Georges Hanover Square, Westminster, London, England.3 He and Blanche Chetwynd-Talbot were divorced in 1865.1 He married, secondly, Mary Parkin, daughter of James Parkin, on 7 December 1875. He married Mary Parkin, daughter of James Parkin, on 7 December 1875.1 He died on 5 July 1890 at age 78.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He lived at Longdon Hall, Rugeley, Staffordshire, England.
