Sir Jacob Henry Preston, 2nd Bt. was born on 25 January 1812.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Preston, 1st Bt. and Jane Bagge.2 He married Amelia Prescott, daughter of William Willoughby Prescott, on 4 November 1846.1 He died on 19 October 1891 at age 79.1
Sir Jacob Henry Preston, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Preston, of Beeston St. Lawrence, Norfolk [U.K., 1815] on 21 April 1823.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Norfolk in 1847.1 He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Norfolk.1 He also had four daughters, who all died unmarried.1
