     Sir Thomas Hildebrand Preston, 6th Bt. was born on 2 June 1886.1 He is the son of William Thomas Preston and Alice Mary Stevens.2 He married Ella Henrietta von Shickandantz, daughter of Friedrich von Shickandantz, on 3 October 1913.1 He died in 1976.1
     Sir Thomas Hildebrand Preston, 6th Bt. was educated at Westminster College, Westminster, London, England.1 He was educated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was educated at Ecole des Sciences Politiques, Paris, France.1 He was educated at München Universität, Munich, Bavaria, Germany.1 He was Chargé d'Affaires for Lithuania between 1930 and 1940.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1934.1 He was Minister for Lithuania between 1940 and 1941.1 He was Counsellor to the Embassy between 1941 and 1948 at Cairo, Egypt.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Preston, of Beeston St. Lawrence, Norfolk [U.K., 1815] on 7 December 1963.1 He wrote the book Before the Curtain.1
