     Charles Mills was born on 13 July 1755 at Barford, Warwickshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Reverend John Mills and Sarah Wheler.1,2 He married Jane Digby, daughter of Hon. Wriothesly Digby and Mary Cotes, circa March 1780.1 He died on 29 January 1826 at age 70.1,2
     He was director of the East India Company between 1785 and 1815.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Warwick between 1802 and 1826.2
