     Sir Robert Leighton, 5th Bt. was born in 1752.¹ He was the son of Sir Charlton Leighton, 3rd Bt. and Emma Maude.^2,1 He died in February 1819, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Leighton, of Wattlesborough, Shropshire [E., 1693] on 9 September 1784.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Shropshire in 1786.¹
