     Reverend Patrick Boyle was born on 7 January 1717 at Canongate, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2 He was the son of John Boyle, 2nd Earl of Glasgow and Helen Morison.1 He married, firstly, Agnes Mure, daughter of William Mure of Caldwell and Anne Steuart, on 14 August 1749.1 He married by contract, secondly, Elizabeth Dunlop, daughter of Alexander Dunlop, on 31 March 1763.1 He died on 26 February 1798 at age 81.1
     He lived at Irvine, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.1

Helen Morison1

     Helen Morison was born in 1692 at Prestongrange, East Lothian, ScotlandG.2 She was the daughter of William Morison.1 A contract for the marriage of Helen Morison and John Boyle, 2nd Earl of Glasgow was signed on 11 February 1707.1 She died on 7 July 1770 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2
     Her married name became Boyle. After her marriage, Helen Morison was styled as Countess of Glasgow on 31 October 1733.

Rt. Hon. David Boyle1,2

     Rt. Hon. David Boyle was born on 26 July 1772 at Irvine, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.3 He was the son of Reverend Patrick Boyle and Elizabeth Dunlop.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Montgomerie, daughter of Alexander Montgomerie and Elizabeth Taylor, on 24 December 1804.1 He married, secondly, Catherine Campbell Smythe, daughter of David Smythe, Lord Methven and Euphemia Aemilia Murray, on 17 July 1827.2 He died on 4 February 1853 at age 80 at London, England.3
     He held the office of Lord Justice-General and President of the Court of Session.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.4

     George Ross, 13th Lord Ross of Halkhead was born circa 1682. He was the son of William Ross, 12th Lord Ross of Halkhead and Agnes Wilkie. He married Lady Elizabeth Kerr, daughter of Lt.-Gen. William Kerr, 2nd Marquess of Lothian and Lady Jane Campbell.1 He died on 17 June 1754.2 He was buried at Renfrew, Renfrewshire, ScotlandG.
     He gained the title of 13th Lord Ross of Halkhead. He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms as 16th of Balnagowan, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court 16th of Balnagowan in 1745.2
