Lady Helen Boyle

     Lady Helen Boyle was the daughter of John Boyle, 2nd Earl of Glasgow and Helen Morison. She married Sir James Douglas, 1st Bt. on 5 November 1768. She died on 17 October 1794.
     Her married name became Douglas.

     Sir James Douglas, 1st Bt. married, firstly, Helen Brisbane, daughter of Thomas Brisbane of Brisbane and Isabella Nicolson, in 1753. He married, secondly, Lady Helen Boyle, daughter of John Boyle, 2nd Earl of Glasgow and Helen Morison, on 5 November 1768. He died on 2 November 1787.
     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Douglas.

     Lt.-Col. William Charlton was born on 1 May 1761.1 He was the son of St. John Charlton and Mary Tampsit.2 He married Catherine (?) on 22 April 1796.1 He died on 14 January 1838 at age 76.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Shropshire in 1807.1 He lived at Apley Castle, Shropshire, EnglandG.2
