     Elizabeth Paulet was the daughter of Sir William Paulet.1 She married, firstly, Robert Devereux, 3rd Earl of Essex, son of Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex and Frances Walsingham, on 11 March 1630/31 at Netley, Hampshire, England.1,2 She died in 1656.1
     As a result of her marriage, Elizabeth Paulet was styled as Countess of Essex on 11 March 1630/31. From 11 March 1630/31, her married name became Devereux.1
