     Sir Lewis Mansel, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1594.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Mansel, 1st Bt. and Mary Mordaunt.2 He married, secondly, Katherine Lewis, daughter of Sir Edward Lewis.3 He married, firstly, Lady Katharine Sydney, daughter of Robert Sydney, 1st Earl of Leicester and Barbara Gamage, after 1603.1 He married, thirdly, Lady Elizabeth Montagu, daughter of Henry Montagu, 1st Earl of Manchester and Catharine Spencer, on 25 August 1627.3 He died on 4 April 1638.1
     Sir Lewis Mansel, 2nd Bt. was invested as a Knight in 1603.1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn.3 He was educated at Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Mansel [E., 1611] on 20 December 1631.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Glamorgan from 1636 to 1637.3
