Henry Montagu, 1st Earl of Manchester was born circa 1563 at Boughton, Northamptonshire, England.2 He was the son of Sir Edward Montagu and Elizabeth Harington.3,2 He married, secondly, Anne Wincoll, daughter of William Wincoll.4 He married, firstly, Catharine Spencer, daughter of Sir William Spencer and Margaret Bowyer, on 1 June 1601.3 He married, thirdly, Margaret Crouch, daughter of John Crouch, on 26 April 1620.5,4 He died on 7 November 1642.3
