Most Rev. Robert Fowler was the son of George Fowler and Mary Hurst.2 He married Mildred Dealtry, daughter of William Dealtry.1 He died on 10 October 1801.1
He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Bishop of Killaloe and Kilfernora in 1771.1 He held the office of Archbishop of Dublin in 1773.1 He was Chancellor of the Order of St. Patrick in 1783, the first.1 He held the office of Chaplain to King George II.1 He held the office of Prebendary of Westminster.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1

Mildred Fowler was the daughter of Most Rev. Robert Fowler and Mildred Dealtry.2 She married Edmund Butler, 1st and last Earl of Kilkenny, son of Edmund Butler, 11th Viscount Mountgarret and Lady Henrietta Butler, on 8 June 1793.1 She died on 30 December 1830, without issue.1
From 8 June 1793, her married name became Butler.1 After her marriage, Mildred Fowler was styled as Viscountess Mountgarret on 16 July 1793. After her marriage, Mildred Fowler was styled as Countess of Kilkenny on 2 December 1793.

Edmund Butler, 1st and last Earl of Kilkenny was born before 1771.2 He was the son of Edmund Butler, 11th Viscount Mountgarret and Lady Henrietta Butler.3 He married Mildred Fowler, daughter of Most Rev. Robert Fowler and Mildred Dealtry, on 8 June 1793.1 He died on 16 July 1846.
He succeeded as the 12th Viscount Mountgarret, co. Wexford [I., 1550] on 16 July 1793.3 He was created 1st Earl of Kilkenny [Ireland] on 2 December 1793.3 In 1799 he became insane.3 On his death, his Earldom became extinct.3
