     Major Robert Duncan Fergusson was born on 16 September 1813.1 He was the son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan.2 He married, firstly, Helen Blackburn, daughter of John Blackburn, on 30 January 1852.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Eliza Fairlie, daughter of William Fairlie, on 12 May 1866.1 He died on 15 February 1878 at age 64.1
     He gained the rank of Officer in the Rifle Brigade.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Ayrshire and Wigton Rifles.1 He lived at Cassillis, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.2

Helen Blackburn

     Helen Blackburn was the daughter of John Blackburn.1 She married Major Robert Duncan Fergusson, son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan, on 30 January 1852.2 She died on 21 July 1863.2
     Her married name became Fergusson.

     Captain Robert Bruce, Master of Burleigh was born on 25 September 1880 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was the son of Alexander Hugh Bruce, 6th Lord Balfour of Burleigh and Lady Katherine Eliza Gordon.1 He died on 26 August 1914 at age 33 at Le Cateau, FranceG, killed in action.2
     He was styled as Master of Burleigh between 1880 and 1914.1 He was educated between 1893 and 1897 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, where he won two medals with five clasps.2 He gained the rank of officer between 1910 and 1914 in the Egyptian Army.3 He fought in the campaign in the Sudan in 1912, where he won a medal with clasp.3 He was awarded the Order of the Medjidie 4th class.3 He fought in the First World War in 1914.2

     Jean Dalrymple was baptised on 12 June 1777 at Inveresk, East Lothian, ScotlandG.2 She was the daughter of Sir David Dalrymple, 3rd Bt. and Helen Fergusson.3 She married Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt., son of Charles Fergusson and Anne Fordyce, on 8 November 1799 at Inveresk, East Lothian, ScotlandG.1,2 She died on 6 May 1803 at age 25.1
     Her married name became Fergusson.

     Sir David Dalrymple, 3rd Bt. married Helen Fergusson, daughter of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 2nd Bt. and Jane Maitland, on 20 March 1770.1
     He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Dalrymple. He was styled as Lord Hailes [Scottish Law Lord].1

Henrietta Duncan was baptised on 17 May 1782 at Gosport, Hampshire, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Admiral Adam Duncan, 1st Viscount Duncan of Camperdown and Henrietta Dundas.1 She married Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt., son of Charles Fergusson and Anne Fordyce, on 5 December 1804 at St. Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.3,2 She died on 14 May 1850 at age 67.3
     Her married name became Fergusson.

Sir John Stonhouse, 3rd Bt.1

     Sir John Stonhouse, 3rd Bt. was born c in 1608.2 He was the son of Sir William Stonhouse, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Powell.3 He married Margaret Lovelace, daughter of Richard Lovelace, 1st Baron Lovelace of Hurley, on 22 April 1633.2 He died circa 1675.2
     Allegedly for marrying without paternal consent).2 Following an attempt (ajudged illegal in English law) by him to surrender the original btcy for regrant.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)4 He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Stonhouse, of Radley. On 7 May 1628 with precedence of and remainder to his younger sons (he having disinherited the est.2 He was Member of Parliament (M.P.) Abingdon April-May , Nov 1640–Jan 1643/4 (disbarred for royalism), 1660 and 1661–75 in 1640.2 On 5 May 1670 so created.2
