     Major Robert Duncan Fergusson was born on 16 September 1813.2 He was the son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan.1 He married Helen Blackburn, daughter of John Blackburn, on 30 January 1852.2 He married Margaret Eliza Fairlie, daughter of William Fairlie, on 12 May 1866. He died on 15 February 1878 at age 64.2
     Major Robert Duncan Fergusson was Major Royal Ayrshire and Wigton Rifles, Officer Rifle Brigade.2 He lived at Cassillis, Ayrshire, Scotland.

     Helen Blackburn was the daughter of John Blackburn.1 She married Major Robert Duncan Fergusson, son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan, on 30 January 1852.2 She died on 21 July 1863.2
     Her married name became Fergusson.

     Captain Robert Bruce, Master of Burleigh was born on 25 September 1880 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Hugh Bruce, 6th Lord Balfour of Burleigh and Lady Katherine Eliza Gordon.1 He died on 26 August 1914 at age 33 at Le Cateau, France, killed in action.2
     Captain Robert Bruce, Master of Burleigh was styled as Master of Burleigh between 1880 and 1914.1 He was educated between 1893 and 1897 at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, where he won two medals with five clasps.2 He gained the rank of officer between 1910 and 1914 in the service of the Egyptian Army.3 He fought in the campaign in the Sudan in 1912, where he won a medal with clasp.3 He was decorated with the award of Order of the Medjidie (4th class).3 He fought in the First World War in 1914.2

     Jean Dalrymple was the daughter of Sir David Dalrymple, 3rd Bt. and Helen Fergusson.2 She married Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt., son of Charles Fergusson and Anne Fordyce, on 8 November 1799.1 She died on 6 May 1803.1
     With two daughters (died unm).1 Her married name became Fergusson.
