     Mary Dennistoun was the daughter of Richard Dennistoun.¹ She married Archibald Buchanan, son of Andrew Buchanan of Ardenconnel and Jane Dennistoun, on 3 June 1816.¹ She died on 30 June 1868.¹
     From 3 June 1816, her married name became Buchanan.¹

     Andrew Buchanan was born on 14 March 1817.¹ He was the son of Archibald Buchanan and Mary Dennistoun.¹ He married Mary Jemima Dundas Adamina Fergusson, daughter of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan, on 20 November 1845.¹ He died in 1886, without issue.¹
     Andrew Buchanan held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He lived at Auchintorlie, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.¹

     Elizabeth Villiers was born circa 1701.¹ She was the daughter of John Villiers and Frances Moyses.¹ She died on 4 July 1786 at Tavistock Court, Tavistock Street, Middlesex, England.¹

     Mary Jemima Dundas Adamina Fergusson is the daughter of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan.^1,2 She married Andrew Buchanan, son of Archibald Buchanan and Mary Dennistoun, on 20 November 1845.¹
     From 20 November 1845, her married name became Buchanan.¹ In 1902 died.³

     Georgina Grace Buchanan was the daughter of Archibald Buchanan and Mary Dennistoun.¹ She married George Hermand Fergusson, son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan, on 28 July 1857.¹ She died on 4 May 1862.¹
     From 28 July 1857, her married name became Fergusson.

     Mary Villiers was the daughter of John Villiers and Frances Moyses.¹ She died circa May 1703, in infancy.¹ She was buried on 18 May 1703 at Merton, Surrey, England.¹

     George Hermand Fergusson was born on 22 August 1810.³ He was the son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan.^1,2 He married Jane Gilmour, daughter of Walter Little Gilmour of Craigmillar, in 1841.³ He married Georgina Grace Buchanan, daughter of Archibald Buchanan and Mary Dennistoun, on 28 July 1857.¹ He died on 27 April 1870 at age 59.¹

     James Buchanan was born on 26 January 1776.¹ He was the son of Andrew Buchanan of Ardenconnel and Jane Dennistoun.¹ He married Lady Janet Sinclair, daughter of James Sinclair of Mey, 12th Earl of Caithness and Jean Campbell, on 10 May 1805.¹ He died on 21 December 1860 at age 84.¹
     James Buchanan held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Caithness-shire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Caithnes-shire.¹ He lived at Craigend Castle, Stirlingshire, Scotland.² He lived at Ardenconnel, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.¹

     James Sinclair of Mey, 12th Earl of Caithness was born on 31 October 1766 at Barrogill Castle, Caithness, Scotland.³ He was the son of Sir John Sinclair of Mey, 6th Bt. and Charlotte Sutherland.² He married Jean Campbell, daughter of General Alexander Campbell of Barcaldine and Helen Sinclair, on 2 January 1784 at Thurso Castle, Thurso, Caithness, Scotland.³
     James Sinclair of Mey, 12th Earl of Caithness succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Sinclair, of Canisbay, co. Caithness [N.S., 1631] on 26 March 1774.¹ He succeeded to the title of 12th Earl of Caithness [S., 1455] on 8 April 1789.¹ On 4 May 1793 he was found to be the rightful Earl.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Caithness between 1794 and 1823.¹ He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1807 and 1818.¹ He held the office of Postmaster-General between 1811 and 1823.¹ He was (an unknown value) on 16 July 1823 at Barrogill Castle, Caithness, Scotland.³

     Lady Janet Sinclair was the daughter of James Sinclair of Mey, 12th Earl of Caithness and Jean Campbell.² She married James Buchanan, son of Andrew Buchanan of Ardenconnel and Jane Dennistoun, on 10 May 1805.¹ She died on 24 February 1867.¹
     From 10 May 1805, her married name became Buchanan.¹
