Alice Leigh, Duchess Dudley was born circa 1579.1 She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Leigh, 1st Bt. and Katherine Spencer.2 She married Robert Dudley, Earl of Warwick, son of Robert Dudley, 1st Earl of Leicester and Hon. Douglas Howard, on 11 September 1596.1,3 She died on 22 January 1668/69, without male issue.1
She was created 1st Duchess Dudley [England] on 23 May 1644, for life.1 On her death, her title expired.1
