     Hon. Sir Edward Chandos Leigh was born on 22 December 1832.1 He was the son of Chandos Leigh, 1st Baron Leigh of Stoneleigh and Margarette Willes.2 He married Katherine Fanny Rigby, daughter of James Rigby, on 1 June 1871.1 He died on 18 May 1915 at age 82.1
