     Jane Beresford was the daughter of Sir Randal Beresford, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Catherine Annesley.1 She married Lt.-Gen. Frederick Hamilton, son of Archibald Hamilton.1 She died in 1716, without issue.1
     Her married name became Hamilton.1

Lt.-Gen. Frederick Hamilton1

     Lt.-Gen. Frederick Hamilton was the son of Archibald Hamilton.2 He married Jane Beresford, daughter of Sir Randal Beresford, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Catherine Annesley.1 He died on 26 March 1732.1
     He lived at Millburn, Scotland.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)2 He held the office of Lord Justice of Ireland.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General.2 He lived at Walworth, County Derry, IrelandG.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court between 1680 and 1687.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Coleraine.2 He was Governor of Royal Hospital, Dublin between 1718 and 1732.2
