     He was a partner of Gurneys Bank at Norwich, Norfolk, EnglandG.3 He was a partner of the Norwich Bank in 1803.3 He lived at Earlham Hall, Norfolk, EnglandG.4

     Hannah Gurney was born circa 1783.2 She was the daughter of John Gurney and Catherine Bell.3,2 She married Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Fowell Buxton and Anna Hanbury, on 13 May 1807.1 She died on 20 March 1872.1
     From 13 May 1807, her married name became Buxton.

     Thomas Fowell Buxton was born on 29 August 1822.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, 1st Bt. and Hannah Gurney.2 He married Rachel Jane Gurney, daughter of Samuel Gurney and Elizabeth Sheppard, on 4 February 1845.1 He died on 27 January 1908 at age 85.1
     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Hertfordshire in 1878.1 He lived at Easneye, Ware, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Upton House, Cromer, Norfolk, EnglandG.1
