Arthur Grey Hazlerigg, 1st Baron Hazlerigg was born on 17 November 1878. He was the son of Lt.-Col. Arthur Grey Hazlerigg and Janet Edith Orr-Ewing. He married Dorothy Rachel Buxton, daughter of John Henry Buxton and Emma Maria Pelly, on 14 July 1903.1 He died on 25 May 1949 at age 70.

John Henry Buxton was born on 15 August 1849.1 He was the son of Thomas Fowell Buxton and Rachel Jane Gurney.2 He married Emma Maria Pelly, daughter of Captain Richard Wilson Pelly and Katherine Jane Fry, on 19 November 1874.1 He died on 21 March 1934 at age 84.1
