     Lt.-Gen. Sir Richard Wakefield Goodbody was born on 12 April 1903.1 He was the son of General Ernest Goodbody and Hilda Evelyn Barclay Pim.2 He married Mary Eveline Chetwynd-Talbot, daughter of Reverend Arthur Henry Chetwynd-Talbot and Eveline Mary Ashton, on 16 July 1929.1 He died on 29 April 1981 at age 78 at Sutton Walden, Blandford, Dorset, England.3
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He was commissioned in 1923, in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1927 in the Royal Horse Artillery.1 He gained the rank of Adjutant in 1936 in the Honourable Artillery Corps.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Brigade Major in 1940 in the 1st Support Group.1 He was Commanding Officer of the 11 Royal Horse Artillery in 1942.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1943.1 He was Commander of the 2 Armoured Brigade in 1943.1 He was CRA of the 7th Armoured Division in 1946.1 He was commander of the 15 Infantry Brigade in 1947.1 He was Commandant of the School of Artillery in 1948.1 He was Deputy DMT, War Office in 1948.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1953.1 He was Director of Royal Artillery, War Office between 1954 and 1957.1 He was General Officer Commanding of the Northern Command between 1957 and 1960.1 He was Colonel Commandant of the Royal Artillery between 1957 and 1968.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1958.1 He was Colonel Commandant of the Honourable Artillery Artillery between 1959 and 1960.1 He was Adjutant-General to the Forces between 1960 and 1963.1 He was Colonel Commandant of the Royal Horse Artillery between 1960 and 1968.1 He held the office of Aide de Camp to HM Queen Elizabeth II between 1961 and 1963.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1963.1 He held the office of Bath King at Arms in 1965.1 He lived in 1976 at Broadlea Farm, Sutton Waldron, Dorset, England.1

     Fiona Ferelith Allom, Baroness Hodgson of Abinger is the daughter of Keith Storr Allom.1 She married Robin Granville Hodgson, Baron Hodgson of Astley Abbotts, son of Henry Edward Hodgson and Natalie Beatrice Davidson, in 1982.1
     From 1982, her married name became Hodgson.1 After her marriage, Fiona Ferelith Allom, Baroness Hodgson of Abinger was styled as Lady Hodgson of Astley Abbotts on 7 June 2000. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 2012.2 She was created Baroness Hodgson of Abinger, of Abinger in the County of Surrey [U.K. Life Peer] in 2013.3
