     S/Ldr. John Arthur Chetwynd-Talbot gained the rank of Squadron-Leader in the service of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was decorated with the award of Air Force Cross (A.F.C.).¹ He was registered as a Associate Member, Institution of Mechanical Engineers (A.M.I.Mech.E.).¹
