     Anne Eliza Gamon was the daughter of Richard Gamon and Elizabeth Grace.1,2 She married, firstly, Roger Hope Elletson, son of Roger Elletson, before 1775.2 She married, secondly, James Brydges, 3rd Duke of Chandos, son of Henry Brydges, 2nd Duke of Chandos and Lady Mary Bruce, on 21 June 1777 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.2 She died on 20 January 1813 at Chandos House, EnglandG.2
     From before 1775, her married name became Elletson.2 From 21 June 1777, her married name became Brydges.1 After her marriage, Anne Eliza Gamon was styled as Duchess of Chandos on 21 June 1777.
     The Royal Register records that "from the vanity and extravagance of this woman, and the uncertain contingencies of her property, the Hampshire people think that the poor Duke is completely taken in."2
