     Charles James Christian was born on 7 August 1887 at Norfolk Island.2 He was the son of John Stephen Christian and Delia Mooga Adams.3,4 He married Constance Glennie, daughter of James Glennie and Harriet Green, in 1918 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.3 He died on 9 November 1955 at age 68 at District Hospital, Balmain, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.3 He was buried on 11 November 1955 at Rookwood Crematorium, Lidcombe, New South Wales, Australia.3
     He fought in the First World War between 24 February 1916 and 19 December 1917.3 He gained the rank of Private in the service of the 20th Australian FD Regiment, 1 Base Postal Unit, and 113th Australian Convalescent Depot.2
