     Henry Charles Hardinge, 3rd Viscount Hardinge of Lahore and Kings Newton was born on 1 August 1857.3 He was the son of Charles Stewart Hardinge, 2nd Viscount Hardinge of Lahore and Kings Newton and Lady Lavinia Bingham.3 He married Mary Frances Nevill, daughter of Hon. Ralph Pelham Nevill and Louisa Marianne Maclean, on 8 July 1891.1 He died on 30 April 1924 at age 66.4
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Rifle brigade.4 He fought in the Nile Expedition in 1885, with the Mounted Infantry, Camel Corps.4 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Viscount Hardinge of Lahore and Kings Newton, co. Derby [U.K., 1846] on 28 July 1894.5 He was Aide-de-Camp to HM.4 He was Colonel of the 6th Battalion, Rifle Brigade.4 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).4 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.4 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Kent.4 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Commander-in-Chief between 1902 and 1904.4
