     Nancy Mildred Gladys Brett was born on 28 September 1918.1 She is the daughter of Oliver Sylvain Baliol Brett, 3rd Viscount Esher and Antoinette Heckscher.2 She married Sir Charles Arthur Evelyn Shuckburgh, son of Sir John Evelyn Shuckburgh, on 25 September 1937.1 She died in 1999.1
     Her married name became Shuckburgh.
