Sir Rhys Llewellyn, 2nd Bt. was born on 9 March 1910.1 He was the son of Sir David Richard Llewellyn, 1st Bt. and Magdalene Anne Harries.1 He died on 25 April 1978 at age 68, unmarried.1
He was educated at Oundle School, Oundle, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1931 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1935 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was a practising Master of Foxhounds of Talybont between 1936 and 1940.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in June 1939 in the Welsh Guards, Supply Reserve of Officers.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Llewellyn, of Bwllfa, Aberdare, co.
