      Her married name became Giffard. As a result of her marriage, Elizabeth Adeline Faith Godley was styled as Countess of Halsbury on 15 September 1943.

     He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Northamptonshire Regiment.1
