     He became an unknown person 's adoptive father.1 He was decorated with the award of the Territorial Decoration (T.D.).2 He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.).2

     Karl Johann Wilhelm Prinz zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg was born on 29 August 1777 at Leeuwarden, The Netherlands.1 He was the son of Friedrich Ernst Prinz zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg and Magdalena Zwier van Herren.1 He married Friederike Landgräfin zu Fürstenberg, daughter of Friedrich Landgraf zu Tykowitz, on 15 January 1816 at Brünn, Germany.1 He died on 26 June 1866 at age 88 at Brünn, Germany.1
