     Edward Gaspard Ponsonby, 2nd Baron Sysonby was born (HM EDWARD VII stood sponsor) on 7 June 1903.1 He was the son of Frederick Edward Grey Ponsonby, 1st Baron Sysonby and Victoria Lily Hegan Kennard. He married Sallie Whitney Sanford, daughter of Dr. Leonard Cutler Sanford, on 2 October 1936.1 He died on 21 January 1956 at age 52.1
     2nd Baron Sysonby.1 He was educated Eton.1 Dau of Dr Leonard Cutler Sanford, of New York.1 He gained the title of 2nd Baron Sysonby. He was Page of Honour to HM GEORGE V , Lieutenant-Colonel 5th Battalion The Queen's Royal Regiment (Territorial Army) WW II (despatches) in 1916.1 He was Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1940.1

Lilias Margaret Frances Borthwick, on 4 May 1916.1 He married, secondly, Sheelah Violet Edgeworth Reade, daughter of Essex Edgeworth Reade and Sheelah Maud Emily Chichester, on 24 October 1944.3 He died in 1976.3
     He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.2
