John Campbell, 5th of Barcaldine1

     John Campbell, 5th of Barcaldine was born circa 1700.1 He was the son of Patrick Campbell, 4th of Barcaldine and Agnes Campbell.1,2 He married Margaret Jean Campbell, daughter of unknown Campbell of Keithock.1 He died on 12 April 1777.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Argyll Militia.1 He was a factor to the Earl of Breadalbane and Holland.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Argyll.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Argyll.1 He was later a factor on the forfeited Perth, Strathallan, and Gask estates.1 Being deeply in debt, he sold the family estates to his half-brother, Duncan.1

     Patrick Campbell, 4th of Barcaldine was born in 1677.2 He was the son of Alexander Campbell, 3rd of Barcaldine and Mary Campbell.2 He married, firstly, Agnes Campbell.2 He married, secondly, Lucy Cameron, daughter of Sir Ewen Cameron of Lochiel, 17th Chief of Clan Cameron and Jean Barclay, in 1707.2 He died in 1738.2
     He was also known as John Campbell of Barcaldine.3

     Lady Charlotte Sinclair was the daughter of James Sinclair of Mey, 12th Earl of Caithness and Jean Campbell.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Alexander Murray MacGregor, son of Colonel Alexander MacGregor and Frances Pascal, on 21 May 1810.2 She died on 7 April 1854.2
     From 21 May 1810, her married name became MacGregor.2

Maj.-Gen. Alexander Murray MacGregor1

     Maj.-Gen. Alexander Murray MacGregor was born on 27 November 1778.2 He was the son of Colonel Alexander MacGregor and Frances Pascal.2 He married Lady Charlotte Sinclair, daughter of James Sinclair of Mey, 12th Earl of Caithness and Jean Campbell, on 21 May 1810.2 He died on 20 August 1827 at age 48.2
     He was also known as Alexander Murray MacGregor.2 He gained the rank of Major-General.2
