Captain Sir Iain Mark Tennant was born on 11 March 1919. He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Edward Tennant and Georgina Helen Kirkpatrick.1,2 He married Lady Margaret Helen Isla Marion Ogilvy, daughter of David Lyulph Gore Wolseley Ogilvy, 7th Earl of Airlie and Lady Alexandra Marie Bridget Coke, on 11 July 1946.1 He died on 25 September 2006 at age 87.3
He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Scots Guard.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Thistle (K.T.).1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Morayshire between 1963 and 1994.3

Perth [U.K., 1831] on 29 January 1962.1 He was PR executive for Charles Baker and Sons.3 He was Public Relations Officer for Schweppes USA.3 He was registered as a Member, Institute of Public Relations in 1968.3 On his death, his U.K. Barony became extinct.3
